* The following rules shall cover all Over 60's cricket. These rules were adopted at the Annual general Meeting, on Monday, July 17th , 2006. Where these rules do not cover an issue, the Laws of cricket shall apply. 1. Player Eligibilty: Players must have turned sixty (60) years of age on or before the day of the match. 2. Cricket attire: In all matches, players must wear cricket attire which is white, or such colours as determined by the executive of Over 60 cricket (the Executive). 3. Duration and Start Time of Matches: In relation to local competition and interstate/international matches, and having regard to time changes for daylight saving, the Executive will advise times for commencement of, and duration of, play. 4. Duration of Innings: Each team shall bat for a maximum of forty (40) overs or until dismissed. 5. Tea Break: Tea shall be taken at the interval between the innings for a period of thirty (30) minutes. 6. Bowling: Bowlers are restricted to a maximum of eight (8) overs with a minimum of eight (8) bowlers to be used. 7. Retiring score: A batsman will retire will immediately upon attaining a score of forty (40) runs, plus any additional runs achieved in reaching forty runs, and cannot bat again in that innings. 8. Umpires: Each team shall provide a senior person/s to umpire. 9. Modification to Rules: In relation to the above, and providing both captains agree, modifications to these rules are acceptable in consideration of any aspect of playing conditions. 10. Hot Weather : Should the FORECAST , on ABC Radio , at 6pm on the day before the competition be 35ºC or greater , play will be abandoned.
