ACT played NSW in a practice match at Bradman Oval, Bowral on Monday 20 October. ACT won the toss and decided to bat on a on a good flat pitch. At the end of its 50 over’s the ACT had scored a total of 5 for 185. Top scorers were Mike Gallagher with 32 retired, Doug Osborne (30 retired), Denis Axelby 31 retired and Ted Mommsen with 22 runs. In reply NSW scored 4 for 102 off 35 when rain forced the match to end early. Best with the ball for the ACT were Ron Axelby 8 over’s 1 for 8 and David Lever 6 over’s 1 for 12. All in all a solid work out prior to the Interstate championships.
