Russian rebels 6 for 162:  Captain Ian longmuir won toss and batted, Opening pair of Russells, Russ Whitney and Russ Newton "russled" the score to a record Over 60 opening partnership of 60 - Russ Whitney 32, Russ Newton 28, Ian Longmuir 33 (incl. 6 4s), Norm Eccles 18, Errol Orchard 14, John Martindale 16*. Midnight Cowboys best bowler Alan Taylor 2/9, Fred McLeod 1 wicket. Carl Duncan 3 stumpings.

In reply Midnight Cowboys could only manage 8/130. Led superbly by Casey pair Colin "Spike" Jones, 31, and Ian "Eartha" Kitt, 32, Fred McLeod 24* (Incl. one 6), John Hammer 14. Morningtown Morons All Out 111. Started well with an opening partnership of 35 with Lloyd Haley making 20 and Norm "Tonto" McLeod 19, Paul Taylor 22, Graham Cuddon 20, a third wicket stand of 35, then next 7 wickets fell for a mere 39 runs. Paper tigers best bowlers: Peter Scott, David Haynes, Alan Taylor, John Moore each one wicket.

Paper tigers 7 for 122. Despite loosing opener "Rotten" ron Luckman for a duck, scored freely, taking 19overs to achieve victory. Ian "Razor" Sharp 22, David Haynes 20, Alan McLeish 21, Neville Brown 15, Geoff Coley 12. Bowling: Alan Axford and Barry Johnson 1 wicket each. Man of Match: David Haynes 20 and 1/21.
